Father’s Day 2019: A Day dedicated to your hero

Celebrated every year on 3rd Sunday of June,   Father’s day is the celebration of fatherhood and paternal bonds. It’s a day when you honor the pillar of your family— your father. He is one of the two most important people in your life besides your mother.

If the mother is the heart of a family then the father is the backbone, and everyone knows—you may be alive with a heart but backbone helps you stand upright, it helps you function. Without it, there’s no movement.

But the real question is what makes this day so important? And why do you need to celebrate it?

1. Fathers are often underrated

First of all, fathers are highly underrated. They do so much but hardly get any recognition for their hard work. Remember that one time when you hurt your knee playing cricket and you ran crying, straight to your mother. She may have wiped your tears and consoled you— but your dad was the one who brought the first-aid kit and fixed your knee because he knew how badly you wanted to win that match.

2. King of Self-sacrifice

Fathers are literal kings of unconditional and selfless love. From giving up to their dream job to sacrificing their whole careers, so that you could pursue your dreams. Spending numerous sleepless nights on the floor and having nothing but a glass of water, just to give you a better life. Fathers do it all—without complaining.

3. Tough Love

Fathers are known for their tendency to be tough. Their rough exteriors and harshness may repel you sometimes, and god knows how many times you must have misunderstood your father thinking he hates you, but in reality, he just wanted to push you— to be a better version of yourself. If it weren’t for your father’s tough love, you wouldn’t be the person you are today.

4. Secret Superstar

If the mother is the leading actor in your life(life is a big movie after all) then your dad is the producer or director. He is the one who builds your life and gives it a proper direction by making sacrifices and standing by you at every step. He knows that he may not even get any appreciation but that doesn’t stop him because he is your real life, Superman!

Lastly, your father deserves all the love in the world. No matter how tough he is and how hard he tries not to show his emotions, he still has a soft heart—a heart that possesses infinite love.

And the father’s day is the perfect day to show your father how much he means to you. So take him out to a nice dinner or surprise him with a nice gift and make him feel the most special person in the world.
